About
Hey, my name is Tim Hendry and I am a self taught photographer.
Fine-Art Photography
My fascination with creating imagery began as a kid.
I’m pretty much an open book, I am from the south and being a military brat did a lot of traveling young that I don’t remember. I grew up in the mid-west and the first camera that I used had me hooked. I don’t remember, it was either a 110mm or a polaroid. In Highschool I bought my very first good camera, it was a Pentax K1000. I learned through trial and error how to use this fancy camera. I spent a lot of time and money on film and printing. I was always told that my pictures were fantastic. I guess my Mom didn’t want to hurt my feelings. My senior year the school had their very first photography class. This entry level class really helped me put the little pieces together and step up my game.
I did a few concerts and individuals shoots, then life happened. Someone needed my equipment more than I did. My passion for photography never stopped just took a while to get new equipment. Over the years, I tried different styles “Nature” being my favorite. Then one day something snapped in my head and I started looking at my photos differently, more from an artsy point of view. I now see the light rays and shadows, much like the brush strokes on a canvas.
In 2006, I tided the knot and got married. Fast forward 18 years and we have three wonderful and very smart kids that doesn’t like my camera (lol). In 2018, I was told by the doctors that I could not do what I did for the past 20+ years. So, I went back to school for psychology and decided to share my talents with the world.
